The Africa Mercy and her volunteer crew returned to Benin in the Port of Cotonou on 18 August 2016. It was the fifth Mercy Ships visit to the nation since 1997, three with the Anastasis and two with the Africa Mercy. During the ten month field service, Mercy Ships offered direct medical services and medical capacity building assistance, as well as trainings and renovations.
