Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). FCA is a non-denominational Christian sports ministry uniting two passions- Faith and Athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA encourages young men and women to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and teaches our youth how to incorporate their faith into their sport and everyday living. They will gather once a month to play competitive games, study God’s word and hear testimonies from fellow athletes on how their faith has impacted their sport.
To get started, this group will be lead by Bob and Sheila Schultz and Dan and RaVon Rasmussen with the goal of this group eventually being led by the students themselves. At this time they are inviting students 4th – 12th grade.
The first meeting will be held Sunday, January 15th from 6pm-7pm at the TAC room 105. Organizers will briefly introduce students to FCA, play a competitive game of dodgeball, have a short devotional study that includes hearing testimonials from well known professional athletes and enjoy refreshments.
FCA believes these are critical years for our kids to root their faith in Christ and what better way to do it than through the shared passion for sports!
If you have questions, feel free to contact the event organizers. Please share and invite others you think may be interested!
